    Our thanks to you all for the excellent care you gave to George. I'm sorry he had to endure Bortz, and i know they gave him as much care as they could, before Tom made the transfer to Arbor House. As I'm sure you were aware, I would have loved having him home if it were possible. The family were impressed with the loving care you gave their dad. We appreciated the card you sent and it will be kept with so many others in a special folder.

About Us

Arbor House is a custom built family home, it's not a hospital or a typical nursing home facility. We offer long-term care and have had the privilege of working with Hospice to jointly provide quality end of life care. Our staff is trained to be sensitive to individual issues of concern for each of our residents. Arbor House has a highly qualified Registered Nurses (RN) on staff along with an Activities and Exercise Coordinator who comes in 3 times per week. Cindy Robertson, the owner/director of Arbor House has more than 20 years of experience in the social work and health care fields.

 

At Arbor House, we have found the key to successful dementia care is to "go with the flow" so to speak. Never allowing the resident to feel "wrong" in any way, goes a long way in maintaining their health, safety and welfare. The respect of each resident is extremely important to their quality of life. Our residents are encouraged to help with the household chores at their pace and ability. We all strive to contribute somehow to our surroundings and are rewarded as such.

 

We have a truly wonderful, well trained staff of direct care workers. We feel strongly that one on-site supervisor who knows all the pieces of a resident's life, can better provide holistic care to that individual. We work closely with each resident's doctors and other health care professionals.
